Newborn Support
The first weeks with a newborn can feel like a blur. You’re recovering, your baby feels hard to read, and it’s difficult to know what’s normal, what needs adjusting, and how to get through the day without second-guessing yourself.
This support is different to a feeding consultation or a sleep consultation. It’s about helping you understand your baby as a whole — their cues, their patterns, and how feeding, settling, and sleep fit together across the day.
I come to your home and work with you in real time. I demonstrate how to settle and soothe your baby, guide you through reading their cues as they happen, and help you shape gentle, flexible flow to your day that feels manageable. You’re not just being told what to do — you’re seeing it, practicing it, and gaining confidence while we’re together.
Often, this also gives you space to sit down, shower, rest, or simply breathe while I support you and your baby.
Because I’m trained in both lactation and infant sleep, I’m always looking at how feeding, settling, and sleep influence one another. Small, practical adjustments across all three can make the whole day feel calmer.
I can help with:
-
Understanding your newborn’s cues and behaviour
-
Demonstrating settling and soothing techniques in real time
-
Day–night confusion
-
Unsettled evenings
-
Creating a gentle, flexible flow to your day
-
Feeling unsure what’s “normal” in the early weeks
-
Building confidence in caring for your baby
You don’t have to spend these early weeks feeling unsure and overwhelmed. With the right support, this stage can feel calmer, clearer, and far more manageable.
